Ministry Leads
Jesse is originally from the DFW area. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington (B. A. in English) where he also played baseball. He then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity in Systematic Theology) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Theology, Ph.D. in Historical Theology). A revised version of his doctoral dissertation is published by Lexham Academic Press in the Studies in Historical and Systematic Theology series, entitled Carl F. H. Henry on the Holy Spirit. He has also contributed to numerous academic and pastoral journals and publications.
Before coming to West Conroe, Jesse served in pastoral ministry for over ten years in the north Texas area, most recently as a senior pastor near the Texas–Oklahoma border. He has a passion for preaching God’s word, building relationships, investing in others, and seeing the gospel carried to the ends of the earth. He loves to read, spend time with his family, and root for his Dallas sports teams even here in the Houston area.
Jesse is married to Marissa and they have three daughters and a son.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Chris serves as Executive Pastor which includes supervision of WCBC’s staff, Adult Life Groups, Financial Administration, and Campus Facilities. Chris has served at West Conroe since August 2010 serving in various roles over the years including Minister to Adults, Associate Pastor, and now as Executive Pastor.
Chris began serving in vocational ministry in 1996 having served on ministry staff with churches in Dallas and Austin. He also served on staff with the Texas Baptist State Convention. He has volunteered with the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention and the Tyron Evergreen Baptist Association in providing equipping conferences and serving on administrative committees.
Chris has a background in Financial and Human Resource Management. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Pennie in 1996 and has two daughters Kylie and Kennedy. He enjoys date nights with Pennie, traveling to National Parks with his family, fun outings with friends, and Tex-Mex.
Luis serves as the Hispanic Minister at West Conroe Baptist Church, where he passionately leads and supports the Hispanic community in their walk with Christ. With a strong desire to lead people to Jesus and help them grow in Him, he dedicates his life to fostering a deep and meaningful relationship with Christ among his congregation.
Holding an undergraduate degree in computer science, Luis is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity to further enhance his theological knowledge and ministerial skills. He has been blessed with a loving marriage to his wife, Paola, for the past five years. Together, they are the proud parents to their son, Jose, and their daughter, Laura.
Beyond his ministerial duties, Luis has a deep love for Renaissance Spanish literature, with “Don Quixote de la Mancha” being his favorite book from this period. His passion for literature enriches his ministry, as he often draws upon its timeless themes and lessons to inspire and guide his community in their walk with Christ.
Luis es el Ministro Hispano en la Iglesia Bautista de West Conroe, donde lidera y apoya con pasión a la comunidad hispana en su caminar con Cristo. Con un fuerte deseo de llevar a las personas a Jesús y ayudarles a crecer en Él, dedica su vida a fomentar una relación profunda y significativa con Cristo entre su congregación.
Con una licenciatura en ciencias de la computación, Luis está cursando actualmente una Maestría en Divinidad para profundizar sus conocimientos teológicos y habilidades ministeriales. Ha sido bendecido con un matrimonio amoroso con su esposa, Paola, durante los últimos cinco años. Juntos, son los orgullosos padres de un hijo de dos años, José, y una bebé de dos años, Laura.
Más allá de sus deberes ministeriales, Luis tiene un profundo amor por la literatura española del Renacimiento, siendo “Don Quijote de la Mancha” su libro favorito de este período. Brandon serves as Minister to Students at West Conroe. Brandon was first called to serve the Lord as a student in WCBC’s student ministry, since then he has served as a student ministry intern for WCBC and Houston’s First Baptist Church and has previously served as West Conroe’s Associate Student Minister.
Brandon has a bachelor’s degree in business and communication from Sam Houston State University and is currently working on his master’s degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brandon has been married to his wife Charissa since 2022, and they share a love of all things outdoors and adventurous! Brandon lives and breathes Tex-Mex, and fajitas are his love language!
When Brandon is not serving the student ministry, you can find him on the water somewhere- particularly during duck hunting season! He enjoys barefoot water skiing, fishing, and camping.
Madison serves as Minister to Children at West Conroe. Madison began her ministry journey in 2014, serving part-time in various intern roles before she was called into full-time vocational ministry in 2021. She served for three and a half years on the Kids Team at Parkway Fellowship. Madison’s heart is for children to grow in their faith with the support of their family and local church.
Madison has a BBA in Marketing from Howard Payne University and a Master of Arts in Family Ministry from Dallas Baptist University. Originally from Texas, Madison loves spending time with friends and family.
Madison is a fan of all things cozy—coffee, crocheting, and books are her go-to comforts. When she’s not serving in children’s ministry, you can find her crafting, planning a beach trip, or soaking up the sun with a book in hand.
Dave serves as the Worship Minister here at West Conroe. Following graduation from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, he served churches in both Texas and Arkansas as a Music and Worship Pastor.
Dave has been married to his wife Carla for nearly 30 years and they have 2 children, Kayla and Ben. Since moving back to Texas, his favorite meal has become Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. Dave is very eclectic when it comes to music. Currently, he is listening to Phil Wickham, but often finds himself switching over to the music of Paul Baloche and Tommy Walker frequently.
When Dave is not in the office he can usually be found on a hiking trail, doing volunteer trail maintenance, or attempting a thru-hike of a long distance National Recreation Trail.
